A robust optimization approach for the production-routing problem with lateral transshipment and outsourcing

Despite the fact that there is a large body of literature on Production Routing Problem (PRP), we were struck by dearth research outsource planning and lateral transshipment. This paper presents mixed-integer linear programming model for incorporating outsourcing, transshipment, back ordering, lost sales, time windows into production routing problems. Then robust optimization will be introduced to overcome detrimental effects demand uncertainty. Considering scale complexity suggested problem, addressing it in reasonable was challenge. Therefore, three matheuristic algorithms, including Genetic Algorithm (GA), Simulated Annealing (SA), Modified (MSA), are developed solving large-scale Eventually, computational experiments disparate instances performed, results show effectiveness efficiency proposed algorithms. In other words, our recommended algorithms outperform CPLEX solver terms quality obtaining solutions.
